New Reading Machine

July 18, 2008

News Release

Several months ago, the Citrus Springs Memorial Library was fortunate to receive a very special donation, an Optelec Clear View 500. This truly remarkable machine allows a reader to enlarge a book’s print and is a wonderful machine for people whose sight has become impaired.

The Library would like to thank optician Dan Crane for his generous donation. The machine not only allows you to enlarge the print, it also allows you to change the background to help clarify the print. A third setting allows you to see colors.

The public is invited to visit the library and try the machine to ascertain its usefulness in improving their reading ability if their eyesight is becoming impaired.

Again the library wishes to thank Mr. Crane for his generous donation.
