Another very successful book sale at the Citrus Springs Memorial Library on Saturday, November 14! Mother Nature cooperated beautifully with sunny and cool weather for friends and neighbors who not only browsed but did a lot of purchasing as well.
Joan Bucher, chairperson of the sale, would like to give a big thank you to the Citrus Springs Boy Scout Troop 462. With their help, all the books were hauled from the storage shed to the library itself, as well as the library grounds for display. It took a good many trips, as Lorna Eastman, Manager of the library noted.
The library had been given a super number of donations (more than they had ever received in previous book sales). Many thanks for these welcomed donations.
An added feature to this Book Sale was the Bake Sale, sponsored by the Citrus Springs Youth Committee. The price was right for lots of goodies taken home with the purchased books!
Bucher and Eastman would like to thank the following volunteers who helped with the book sale: Yvette Cernwell, Mickey LaRocque, Flo DeAngelis, Crystal Colomb, Jane Mazzacua, Mary Moody, Maggie Zarrrella, Hilda Weaver, Grace Driskill, and Maureen Allen.
Baked goods were donated by Lorna Eastman, Connie Hanson, Yvette Cornwell, Norma Rourke, June Towner, Dorothy McDonald, and Janet Herrmann.
