Calling all artists, musicians, poets, and photographers!

The Citrus Springs Memorial Library will be having its Fall Book Sale and its first ART EXPO on Saturday, October 25, from 8:30am until 2:00pm.

If you are interested in being part of the ART EXPO, please stop by the library for application forms and more information or call 489-2313.  The library is located at 1826 W. Country Club Blvd. in Citrus Springs.


“Toast to Books” on October 18, 2008

Are you ready for the big fundraiser party, “Toast to Books,” staged for the Citrus Springs Memorial Library from 7 to 10 P.M. on Saturday, October 18?

The party will be held at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Parish Center on Country Club Blvd. in Citrus Springs. Get your tickets ($7.00) at the Library, located at 1826 W. Country Club Blvd, Capitol City Bank, Central Ridge Realty, or the Citrus Springs Civic Association, which is helping with the fundraiser.

Come dressed as your favorite book character and enjoy this fun evening of wine and cheese, dancing, and a live and silent auction.

You will have lots of fun and at the same time will be helping the Citrus Springs Memorial LIbrary which does so much for the community of Citrus Springs.

Citrus Springs Library Association

The Citrus Springs Library Association meets on the first Thursday of the month at 1:30pm. This group helps with decision making regarding the Library’s future plans. You are invited to become a member of this group. Dues are $5 for individuals; $7.50 for family memberships.


Creative calligraphers

The Creative Calligraphers meet on the second Thursday of the month at 2:00 pm. This group studies the different “hands” known in calligraphy and actively practice these techniques. They frequently display their works in the Library. To enhance their writing skills, they have also learned several different crafts. Contact June Towner (489-9717) for more information.


Citrus Springs Genealogy Society

The Citrus Springs Genealogy Club meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am. This is an extremely active group. They are growing and expanding in their new larger meeting room at the Library. They are always adding to their own private library of genealogy materials and provide one of the best sources of this information in the area. Contact Tommie Maxam (465-7448 ) for more information.

Horticulture Seminar

October 2, 2006

Master Gardener, Pete Dobbs, leads a monthly seminar at the Library on the third Wednesday of each month at 1:30 pm. He has provided invaluable information to local gardeners and is the man to see if you are experiencing problems with your lawns, gardens, or houseplants. He also provides seasonal information to keep you in tune with our local climate. The public is invited to all of these seminars. Please feel free to bring you “problem” plants in for Pete to check.


Gingerbread Poets

The Potpourri Poets meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am. This is a small but growing group. They study the different types of verse and create their own original work.
